We had the first virtual speech and interview competition using Zoom Meeting on January 25th to 29th.  This virtual competition was made possible by dedicated volunteers giving their time after school to serve as a judge for our LAUSD students.

Each year, Academic Decathlon is dependent on volunteers to ensure a successful competition.

Volunteers can serve as:

  • Speech judge
  • Interview judge

This academic competition would not be possible without the involvement of community members serving in a variety of roles. It is a great way to connect with students and support their months of hard work.

Below you will find a brief description of each position.

Volunteers would serve as an online Testing Proctor and/or Super Quiz Proctor. Proctors must be objective and professional, as well as be able to clearly read directions aloud, and follow specific testing procedures.

A brief orientation will be held on the morning of the event.
